WATERLOO, N.Y. — Sock Out Cancer® and Finger Lakes Textiles, a manufacturing division of Mozaic, a Chapter of the Arc NY, have partnered to bring the production of all Sock Out Cancer socks to Waterloo, New York, creating meaningful employment opportunities for people with disabilities and other barriers in Seneca County.
Through this collaboration, every pair of Sock Out Cancer socks will be manufactured at Finger Lakes Textiles, where an inclusive workforce helps produce high-quality products while building valuable job skills and greater independence.
"This partnership demonstrates the power of purpose-driven collaboration," said Allen Connely, President and CEO of Mozaic. "Not only does every sock purchase support individuals and families impacted by cancer, but it also creates meaningful employment opportunities that help people with disabilities and other barriers thrive in our community."
Sock Out Cancer's mission is to assist financially distressed cancer patients and their families pay for non-medical necessities such as food, transportation, and housing so they can focus their energy on fighting cancer. Funds raised through sock sales and community initiatives are distributed to cancer patients and their families through participating hospital foundations.
